Data Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design, implement, test, and maintain data models, scripts and pipelines using SQL\SSIS
• Develop and maintain end to end ETL\ELT process from external data sources to our Data warehouse
• Integrate new data sources into existing data models and create data output for external applications.
• Produce scalable, replicable code and data solutions to automate repetitive data management tasks
• Contribute to testing & QA of data pipelines, systems and processes
• Document data sources, data structures, data flows and data infrastructure
• Develop and maintain monitoring, error handling and alerting capabilities for data pipelines
• Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly data processes.
• Support delivery from junior resources and offshore staff
• Perform bug fixing, trouble shooting and assist in user support for existing applications
• Assist internal and external stakeholders with data-related technical issues
• Support data processes for Analytics Data warehouse, packages & dashboards.
• Stay on top of the latest technology trends, coding standards, libraries, and frameworks to constantly grow your skillset
• Able to work independently and drive the work forward, driving progress and value
• This position is a virtual/remote position or can be based in our Raleigh HQ location

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Management, Engineering or Mathematics or related field or equivalent.
• Deep experience with SQL language as well as ETL/ELT solutions.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as SQL developer
• 2+ years’ experience with SSIS
• Experience with VB and C#
• Experience with Agile\Scrum practices
• Experience in implementation and performing tuning of large-scale data solutions with SQL Server
• Experience with older concepts/approaches, such as Macros, and converting to modern methodologies
• Experience with data analysis and researching\resolving data issues in complex data environment
• Willingness to partner effectively with clients & stakeholders across the firm

Highly Preferred:

• Healthcare Revenue Cycle Data Experience
• Experience with Cloud data services such as AWS & Azure
• Experience with SSAS and\or PowerBI tabular models
• Any relevant certifications
